Invitation to Industry Speakers
Help close the gap between university education and engineering reality.
CPAI is inviting experienced engineers, technical leaders, and practitioners to contribute to an initiative focused on bridging the gap between academic education and real-world Physical AI and robotics deployment.
This is not a promotional talk series or a motivational webinar. It is a knowledge-transfer effort aimed at exposing the constraints, tradeoffs, and failure modes that are often missing from formal education.
Why we’re reaching out
University programs do a strong job teaching theory and algorithms. What is often missing are the realities of building and deploying systems under real constraints:
- Hardware tradeoffs and BOM pressure.
- Safety, compliance, and certification requirements.
- Reliability targets and failure analysis.
- Integration challenges and operational debt.
- The reasons projects stall, break, or never ship.
We’re building a space where engineers who have shipped systems can share what students and early-career builders rarely hear.
What we ask from speakers
Speakers contribute by sharing practical, experience-driven insight, not polished narratives.
This may include:
- A focused talk or webinar (30–45 minutes).
- A case study of a real system, decision, or failure.
- Lessons learned from deployment, testing, or scaling.
- Tradeoffs you wish you had understood earlier.
- Review or commentary on common educational blind spots.
Slides are optional. Real examples are preferred.
Who you’ll be speaking to
Your audience includes:
- University students in robotics, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, and Computer Science.
- Early-career engineers transitioning into applied Physical AI.
- Self-taught builders seeking industry context.
- Contributors to CPAI projects and research sprints.
The audience is technical, curious, and serious — not general or marketing-oriented.
Format & expectations
- Sessions are hosted live or recorded through CPAI.
- Typical format: talk + discussion or Q&A.
- No sales, recruiting pitches, or vendor promotion.
- We respect your time and keep sessions scoped and purposeful.
Why contribute
By participating, you help:
- Raise the baseline of engineering judgment for future teams.
- Reduce repeated mistakes across the ecosystem.
- Shape how Physical AI is understood beyond academia.
- Contribute to a national, builder-first effort focused on deployment reality.
Contributors are acknowledged publicly and become part of CPAI’s extended technical network.
Current status
- Initiative structure and themes defined.
- Webinar and session format established.
- Actively inviting industry speakers, reviewers, and mentors.
Interested in contributing?
If you’ve worked on real systems — and have lessons worth passing on — we’d welcome your participation.
